Download Bodhi Linux 4.2.0 (62-bit) for Ubuntu

A minimalist and elegant distribution based on Ubuntu

Bodhi Linux is a distribution based on Ubuntu that consumes very few resources. The main feature that distinguishes it from other alternatives is its Desktop Lighting, which gives your operating system the elegance and flexibility at the level of Unity or Gnome but without being so heavy.

The philosophy of Bodhi Linux is based on the belief that users are smart enough to choose the applications that best fit their needs in the Linux environment. Therefore, the default set of installed applications is very basic, to the point that they occupy only 10 megabytes (in addition to the kernel and the operating system): ePad word processor, EFM browser and Midori web browser. Any other application you need can be easily downloaded from the integrated AppCenter.

The default Illumination desktop offers a dark interface with simple lines, a dock at the top of the screen and a nice Numix icon pack. All this, coupled with the fact that it can be installed and works well on more humble machines, makes Bodhi an option to take into account within the Linux ecosystem.
