View your images while browsing your hard drive

There are many understandable image viewers out there for Linux. Sometimes, though, they are too complicated for what you really need them to do. This application has a simpler type of solution.

GQview is a free and open source application for GNOME that allows you to easily view images and images as you browse the folders on your hard drive.

To help you navigate through your system intuitively, GQview includes a directory tree browser right in its interface. It allows you to preview the images and easily takes you to the exact location of the images you are looking for.

GQview also incorporates other interesting features, including automatic image rotation using EXIF information, and the ability to add image editors that are useful for retouching your images.
