Download Pinta 1.6 for Ubuntu

Posted By: Pankaj Softmozer - June 14, 2017

A Paint.net-based image editor for GNU / Linux

Pinta is an image editor based on Paint.net that aims to provide an open source and free to Gimp.

Its interface is similar to that of Paint.net, with a toolbar on the left and historical layers and panels on the right, leaving the center free for image editing.

The editing tools available are similar to those included in other programs of this type: pencil, brush, color picker, fill, lines, shapes, clone stamp, eraser, etc.

Also notable is the inclusion of the most common effects found in editing programs: Gaussian blur, gloss, charcoal, oil painting, etc.

All this makes Pinta a good alternative to Gimp, especially if you are used to programs like Photoshop or Paint.net.
