Creating graphical user interfaces for GTK / GNOME

Despite being one of the keys to the usability of an application, creating a graphical user interface is not always what is best for a developer, especially if it means writing even more code.

Glade is a free open source application for GNU / Linux that allows you to create graphical interfaces for GTK / GNOME without writing code, so you can see the immediate results of your work when adding or modifying elements in the window.

The Glade interface is divided into different windows, so you can use them separately to work on different elements (available components, components entered, preview, etc.).

In one of these components, the preview, you can create your GUI as if it were a puzzle, dragging different components available from the options palette.

The results are saved in the application's own format, GladeXML, which you can use to create the interface with the libglade library.

Glade offers a great way to give your applications a graphical user interface and make them much easier to use.
