Download Puddletag 1.2.0 for Ubuntu

Edit the tags in your MP3 files

To keep your MP3 music library organized, it is essential to catalog each and every one of the files it contains. Many MP3 files are already correctly labeled with useful information, but there are others that come without labels. The easiest way to fix this is by using a program like Puddletag.

The main advantage of this program over others of its kind is that it can be used to edit the information of one or more songs without losing sight of its location on the hard disk. The interface is very similar to an integrated file browser and displays a list of files per folder where you can see all the tags in each file.

The label editing panel is very simple and always visible, making it easier to use. You can add the artist, title, album, track number, date or genre.

If you wish, you can try to download Internet tags through a service within the program. This method generally works quite well for more popular songs, but it may not be as useful if your tastes are darker.
